North of the bay, Naklua is quieter and more residential, while Jomtien to the south draws a different crowd: longer-stay visitors, families, and those who prefer a beach with a little more breathing room. The hill of Pratumnak between the two main bays functions as a kind of elevated buffer, with views across both stretches of water.
