Tietoa tästä paikasta

The Feuerle Collection occupies a former telecommunications bunker in Berlin's Mitte district, a vast subterranean structure that Désiré Feuerle transformed into one of the most unusual private museums in Europe. The building's thick concrete walls and near-total absence of natural light create an atmosphere unlike any conventional gallery, and that quality is entirely deliberate. The collection pairs monumental Khmer sculpture from Southeast Asia with works by contemporary artists including Anselm Kiefer, placing ancient and modern objects in a dialogue that the architecture amplifies rather than merely frames.

Visitors currently have access to the Feuerle Collection Berlin experience, which guides guests through the permanent collection across the bunker's cavernous spaces, as well as the Meditation Hour, a dedicated session designed to encourage a slower, more contemplative encounter with the works. Sound installations by John Cage form a continuous presence throughout the building, reinforcing the museum's commitment to silence and sensory attention as conditions for looking at art.
